In an attempt to make Christmas a special time for the less fortunate, a special meal will be prepared then served at the Center for Creative NonViolence shelter at 2nd and D St. NW in Washington, D.C. on Saturday, December 20th. Santa attempts to provide gifts to make the season bright, as well...
This is a good opportunity to help the less fortunate and to accumulate youth service hours. Donations of toiletries, blankets, food items, etc. are always appreciated. If you would like to help or have any questions, please call Thelma Billy at 703-323-6470. The group meets at the Billys' house in Fairfax at 11:00 a.m., caravans to DC to feed the homeless, and returns about 2:30 p.m.
