Dec 19, 2010A group from the Fairfax area has been preparing and serving hot meals to the homeless at the large Center for Creative NonViolence shelter at 2nd and D St. NW Washington, D.C. for the past 15 years. A special meal will be prepared for Saturday, December 18th. This is a good opportunity to help the less fortunate and to fulfill youth service hours. Donations of food items are always appreciated. If you would like to help, or have any questions please call Thelma Billy at 703-323-6470. The group leaves from the Billys' house in Fairfax at 11:30 a.m. and returns about 2:30 p.m.
