May 19, 2001At the Grand Knights Ball this past Friday Marion Kuhlman our retiring Grand Knight presented the following awards for the current fraternal Year. Congratulations to those deserving Knights for their extra special support to the Grand Knight and the Council .
Knight of the Year - David Miller for his work as the Church Activities Chairman, Coordinating the Rosary at the Abortion Clinic and as a member of the Degree Team.
Family of the Year - Tim and Erin Cooke - For their work in running a number of Council activities such as the St. Patty's Day Party, the Golf Tournament and the annual Crab Feast.
Grand Knights Award - Presented annually to the Knight whom the Grand Knight considered helping him the most during his tenure - This years recipient was Larry Novak our Financial Secretary.
The Grand Knight also thanked all members of the Council and especially the Officers and Program Chairmen for their fine support to the Council and him during his tenure this past year.
Golden Knight Award - In addition to the Grand Knights Awards Jack Cotner received the Golden Knight award from Dennis Riley, our Fraternal Benefits Representative, for recruiting five new Knights during this Fraternal Year.
